Episode 2: Treatment of adhesion after soft tissue injury

  • An adhesion is a band of scar tissue. The formation of scar tissue is the body’s repair mechanism in response to tissue disturbance caused by surgery, injury, or radiation.

Scar tissue or adhesions lead to a variety of symptoms such as:

  • Reduced Range of Motion
  • Muscle Weakness
  • Pain
  • Compensation patterns which cause problems in seemingly unrelated areas
  • If a nerve is entrapped it can cause numbness, burning or tingling
